ATQM is a separate token within the broader ATOM ecosystem. It is connected to the ATOM Quantum project, a new Layer-1 blockchain designed around post-quantum security and EVM compatibility.
ATQM is being developed as part of a broader ATOM ecosystem that includes different business and technology directions, most recent are AgTech, MedTech and Mobile. The current ATLA proposal gives holders the option to migrate their ATLA into ATQM, but migration is not mandatory.
The longer-term plan for ATQM is also different: it is being developed toward a structure that can have a more direct connection to the underlying ATOM businesses and, ultimately, as a plan for the future, a tokenized-share model.
